Filling a gap while business continued as usual with Law Squared as a Service

Headquartered in Germany, Bosch is one of the world’s largest suppliers of automotive components. The company also manufactures industrial products such as drives and controls in addition to building products like powers tools and security systems.

Despite being one of the world’s largest engineering and electronics companies, Bosch’s Australian legal team is small in size. Led by General Counsel, Anne Lock, the team looks after all legal services needs, with a view to ensure that they are mitigating the risk to the business and ensuring that they remain compliant in everything they do.
When leading a small team, the responsibility of managing internal workloads and seeking additional support falls to the General Counsel. Anne was in need of additional support to assist while a team member was on parental leave, and then again when the business was recruiting for a permanent lawyer for their growing legal team.
After some conversations with the Law Squared team around how they could assist in the interim, Anne knew that the LSaaS model was perfect for her and her team as there was no need for onboarding or management of a new starter, and the Law Squared team could get straight down to work.

While the Short-Term Cover model gives you a dedicated Relationship Manager (RM) who is assigned to your business, it is the ability for that RM to leverage other members of the Law Squared legal team and their skill sets (from commercial contractual drafting to privacy to employment), that made Anne chose to engage Law Squared.
