Co-founded in 2010 by Nick Boudrie and Lyndon Webster, LAB Group is a FinTech company that provides SaaS products to financial services enabling customers and adviser groups the ultimate fully digital acquisition and on-boarding experience.

  • As LAB Group started to grow from a small start-up to a scaling organisation, the legal needs of the business began to evolve as well. After the partner they were working with at a traditional law firm moved on, LAB Group were in the market for a new law firm to help them continue to grow and develop. After getting put in contact with Law Squared, the team behind LAB Group knew that the Law Squared team were someone who they could work closely with.

    Both LAB Group and Law Squared were in a growing phase, and LAB Group loved the fact that Law Squared were willing to try new things and be innovative in the way that they delt with legal matters, rather than a big firm who were used to dealing with issues in a very traditional way.

  • As an introduction to LAB Group, the Law Squared team initially worked on various commercial issues including customer contracts, intellectual property licensing and privacy guidance. As the relationship continued to develop, LAB Group then engaged Law Squared’s corporate team to look at some corporate governance issues as well as some shareholder agreements.

    Now that LAB Group have worked with Law Squared for a number of years and are familiar with the way in which they operate, they now engage Law Squared to undertake all of their legal matters as they continue to develop their business model.
